Saint-Petersburg suburbs, how to get there:

Peterhof:

1: Electric trains depart from Baltiyskiy train station ( «Baltiyskaya» metro station)

Electric trains to Peterhof depart each hour. The trip takes about 30 minutes. You’ll have to disembark at the «Noviy Peterhof» station.

2: Marshrutkas (fixed-route taxis) stop near the Upper Park.

There are several marshrutkas going from Saint-Petersburg to Peterhof:

-          From «Avtovo» metro station: 424,224,424a

-          From Baltiyskiy train station ( «Baltiyskaya» metro station): 404, 054

-          From «Leninsky prospect» metro station: 103

Tickets cost 60 rubles (2011), time in transit – 30 minutes.

Marshrutkas from «Avtovo» metro station  depart every 5-10 minutes.

3: Meteor hydrofoil. You can get to Peterhof by hydrofoil boat

Fare – from 300 rubles one-way. Departure is from a pier at Dvortsovaya embankment near the Hermitage.

Pushkin:

1: Electric trains depart from Vitebskiy train station ( «Pushkinskaya» metro station). You’ll have to disembark at the «Detskoye selo» station. The trip takes about 30 minutes.

You can also get on these trains at «Kupchino» metro station.

2: Marshrutkas

-          From «Moskovskaya» metro station: 286,287,299,342,347a,545,545a and bus #187

-          From «Kupchino» metro station: 363

Fare — 25-30 rubles

Kronshtadt:

1: Bus #101 departs from «Staraya Derevnya» metro station every 15-30 minutes. The trip takes about an hour. Fare — 21 rubles.

2: Marshrutkas

-          From «Chernaya Rechka» metro station: 405, fare – 60 rubles

-          From «Prospect Prosvescheniya»: 407, fare – 60 rubles. Time in transit – about 40 minutes.

3: Meteor hydrofoil

During the summer you can get to Kronshtadt by rapid hydrofoil boats departing at the pier near the Hermitage. The hydrofoils operate from May to September.

You can also get to Kronshtadt by boat from Lomonosov.

In Kronshtadt:

«Zimnaya Pristan» (Winter Pier)

In Saint-Petersburg:

«Arsenalnaya naberezhnaya» and «Tuchkov most» piers

Fare – 90 rubles for adults and 45 rubles for kids.

Lomonosov

1: Electric trains from «Baltiyskiy» train station to «Oranienbaum 1». Duration – about 1 hour.

2: Marshrutkas

-          From «Avtovo» metro station: 424a

-          From Baltiyskiy train station ( «Baltiyskaya» metro station): 054, 404a

Fare – 35 rubles. Departure – every 10-15 minutes.

Gatchina:

1: Electric trains from «Baltiyskiy» train station to either one of the stations «Gatchina-Baltiyskaya» or «Gatchina-Warshawskaya», duration – about 1 hour.

2: Marshrutkas

Departure is from Moskovskaya square ( «Moskovskaya» metro station): 18, 100
